How to create a Facebook Group

To create a Facebook group, just sign in your Facebook account and click on “Group” under “Create” menu at the bottom left sidebar menu. A pop-up window will appear asking you to fill the group info like Group Name, privacy setting, and other details.

Privacy settings include whether you want your group to be Public, Closed or Secret. Anyone can join or be added or invited by a member of a Public Group. In a Closed group, anyone can ask to join or be added or invited by a member. Furthermore, in a Secret Group, new members can be added or invited by a member only.

Once you’ve filled up all details, click on “Create” button. Select a Group icon which is more relevant to your Facebook Group. Now your group has been created but you can add some more details so that it becomes easier for people to recognize it.

Include more info on your Facebook Group

Go to your group settings and enter all details one by one. Add a cover photo and share Group description. You can also add tags related to your group that help Facebook users find your group. Furthermore, you can add the location of your Group that also makes it easier for people to locate your group locally. Facebook lets you customize your Group URL that help you to share it easily.

Add or invite friends to join Facebook Group

After creating and entering all details of your Facebook Group, start inviting people to join your group. To add members add the name or email address of the members in the “Add Members” field. Your friend will automatically join your group once you add them.




Link Facebook Group To Facebook Page

You can also link your group to your Facebook page which lets visitors easily find and join your Facebook Group. Furthermore, you can post, like, share and comment on your Facebook Group as your page. It lets you communicate and build a connection with one another.

Go to your Facebook Page and click on “Groups” on the left sidebar to link your Facebook Group to Facebook Page. After that click on “Link Your Group” button and a pop-up window will display. Link the desired group which you want to link to Facebook Page. Just confirm to link your group to Facebook Page and it will successfully link to your page.

You have lots of visitors but you are not making any connection with them. Engaging with your visitors helps you to increase conversions and eventually more sales will happen.
